Greywulf works for Sony and that is the only reason he is saying what he is saying.
For the last time, all companies count units shipped to retail. None of them do it any differently.
No wonder you don't like Halo 3 ODST, you actually liked Haze? Yuck!
ODST is really fun. I am enjoying it more than I enjoyed Killzone 2's campaign. KZ2 multiplayer is pretty fun though.
Hmm.. why is it that most of the people who don't like multiplatform comparisons are PS3 fanboys? Could there be a reason for that? Could it be that they don't like them because they most often show the PS3 coming out behind?
In fact, the very author of this article, Mr. darkride66 himself, is a massive PS3 fanboy. That couldn't have anything to do with his stance on this issue, could it? Nah.
@Blaze929
Thanks for coming forward with a little common ...
If one looks better and runs better, but comes on 3 discs, and the other one comes on 1 disc but looks and runs worse, I'll gladly take the one on 3 discs.
Killzone 2 did not reach the level of its target render. That is a pure fanboy myth. It's easy to see how much better the target render was than the final product, it's not even debatable.
DaTruth, your name is extremely ironic.
Anyway, the majority of multiplats do look better on the 360. Sorry if that offends your delicate fanboy sensibilities, but that is the reality.
As for your tinfoil hat conspiracy theories about developers intentionally making 360 games look better just so they don't make the 360 look bad, well I just have to laugh at your immaturity and naivete. I find it hard to believe that anybody could say such an absurd thing and actual...
The game looks better than ever. Only fanboy paranoia says otherwise.
Look at videos from the PS3 demo and then look at videos from the recent build and it is obvious that it actually looks a little better now.
Looking at a screenshot is pointless because you don't know if the screenshot was even a legitimate PS3 screenshot (not PC or bullshot), and even it is was there is no way to know how the game would have performed at that point. Maybe it ran like crap, at 15 FPS, a...
The ps3 is not the Wii and also the 360 had sold only around 5 million at the time the Wii came out, now the 360 has an 8 million lead over the ps3, so that is even more ground to cover to catch up to the 360. So, probably not gonna happen.
Except you are being a hypocrite. Sony has done some unsavory things as well. The rootkit fiasco was an invasion of privacy and a huge violation of trust that upset millions of consumers. Then there were the exploding batteries, PS2 failures, do I need to go on?
You are just the typical Microsoft-basher with your double standards.
The RROD problems were unfortunate for anybody that experienced them, but at least Microsoft did the right thing and provided a 3 year ...
Hey buddy, you keep telling yourself that. Keep your chin up and don't let yourself be confused by the facts. Sony is counting on you.
Halo Reach is going to be an incredible game. It seems Bungie and Microsoft are throwing everything behind this game. I cannot wait.
No, that survey is not reliable and anybody with a lick of sense can see why. It would be like taking a survey of N4G users about the RROD and expecting to get an accurate result. Not gonna happen.
It's not out yet, but running that far below the PC and 360 version is not a good sign. I hope they get the PS3 version looking as close as possible to the other versions, but I won't be surprised if it ends up looking or running worse.
It's so sad when people try to pretend that the PS2 didn't have those problems. WTF were you guys not around back then? Myself and most of the people I knew with PS2s had hardware issues with it.
That's not why I bought a 360. I bought a 360 because it had the games I wanted to play and the online service that I wanted to play them on.
It's true, the Playstation brand was much stronger coming into this generation than the Xbox brand, which makes what the 360 has achieved all the more impressive. The Xbox brand is now a MAJOR player in the gaming industry. Now it's the PS3 that is trying to catch up to the 360.
Nice spin there, Darkride.
The 360 is the only console that has had year over year growth so far in 2009. It's still some 8 million consoles ahead of a console that everyone was sure was going to utterly dominate the industry this generation. I'd say it's doing pretty well considering it is up against industry old dogs Nintendo and Sony.
Is it just me or do PS3 fanboys get dumber by the day? Talk about grasping at straws...
Very sad, but very true. Virtually nobody in the real world thinks the way the fanatics on this site think. You can hate on the 360 all day long, but it's not going to change people's minds. Making a big deal about a game being on more than one disc? Come on people, that's ridiculous. It's not a big deal at all.
How ironic, coming from a person that comes off as a Sony employee himself.
